Sarah McLachlan - Ordinary Miracle Lyrics

from the movie CHARLOTTE'S WEB!love this song!

love the movie, too!

====
It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow
You don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own

Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a raindrop falls
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?

Its seems so exceptional
Things just work out after all
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sun comes up and shines so bright
It disappears again at night
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

postpartum

Fat is one the few three-letter words that has the power to devastate people, especially women. Nowadays, fat translates to ugly. Women all over the world are obsessed about their bodies and will go to extreme lengths to look buffed and sexy. To the women who just gave birth, the world can be pretty harsh.
I have seen women struggle with postpartum depression because of that. They feel ugly and repulsive that they tend to forget they have just been blessed with a child. I am one of those women, or shall I say I was.

Shedding those bulges off can be quite an ordeal. In magazines, televisions, and everywhere I go, I see rod-thin women; and it got the better of me. I got so disturbed and disgusted with my fat body that I was not able to focus on my lovely newborn baby. I resorted to diet fads, slimming teas, and self-starvation- all to no avail. I felt so hopeless that I refused to go out of the house or do household chores. There were times that I wished I never bore a child. Shameful, but certainly true.

I came across an advertisement of weight-loss supplement in a beauty magazine and I thought this could be the answer to my body woes. Celebrities around the globe are using it and the ads reiterated that it is safe. I was so desperate that I succumb to this life-threatening miracle drug. After a few weeks of taking it, I started to feel light. I lost a few pounds so I continued using it. I was happy with the results, but only for a short time.

The excessive sweating, tremors, increased heart rate, and palpitations eventually led to heart ailment - I was on the verge of heart attack. I finally said to myself this whole slimming craze of mine must stop. I want to see my baby grow and be there for her every step of the way. My daughter needs me, and it does not matter whether I am fat or sexy. I need to be alive!

Easy weight loss? There is no such thing. There will never be a shortcut to losing weight.

I have recovered from that horrible experience, and learned my lesson the hard way. To shake those pounds off, exercise is the key. We need to sweat it out. It is no easy feat, but is certainly doable. The battle of the bulges can be a tough war to win. It takes commitment, sheer determination, and pure hard work. It can get very depressing and frustrating but let it not get the better of you.

How to Stay Married

How to Stay Married

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They
had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had
kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a
shoebox in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband
never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but
one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she
would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man
took down the shoebox and took it to his wife’s bedside.

She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the
box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of
money totaling $25,000. He asked her about the contents. “When we
were to be married,” she said, “my grandmother told me the secret of a
happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry
with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.”

The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears.
Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with
him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst
with happiness. “Honey,” he said, “that explains the dolls, but what
about all of this money? Where did it come from?”

“Oh,” she said, “that’s the money I made from selling the dolls.”
